Sunday Herald-Times, April 26, 1992 FOR THE RECORD Deaths Hospital news Harry W. Cutsinger Harry W. Cutsinger, 62, of Bloomington, died Friday at his residence. Born Feb. 10, 1930, in Bloomington, he was the son of Roy and Grace (Hourigan) Cutsinger.
He retired after working 37 years in accounting for RCA. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he served in the 8th Medical Corp Division, and was recipient of the U.N. Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of Bloomington Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Nancy (Sinn) Cutsinger; two daughters, Teresa Mathis of Bloomington and Jill Riley of Mooresville; four sisters, Margaret Trisler of Anderson, Louise Hendricks of Belvidere, Barbara Hendricks Bloomfield and Carolyn Sheeks of Huntington Beach, and five grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Greene and Harrell Mortuary with Pastors Don Short and Jerry Arnold officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens where military graveside rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. Arrangements are pending at Day and Carter Mortuary in Bedford. Della Ann Hoover Della Ann Hoover, 84, of Bedford, died Saturday at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born June 15, 1907, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Elmer and Anna (Sexton) Hill. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a member of "Club 55" bowling league.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Miller of Abilene, Texas, Betty Anderson of Franklin, and Sally Barrett of Bedford; three sons, William Moat of Hesperia, Charles Moat of Stonington, and Danny Moat of Bloomington; two half sisters; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennie Meadows; one son, Elmer Moat; one sister, Gertrude Scott; and two grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Day and Carter Mortuary in Bedford with Pastor Mark Murphy officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery.

Pilant, 88, 0 of Jasonville, died Saturday at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center. Born May 5, 1903, in Clay County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Bertha (Martin) Downs. She was a homemaker and a member of Primitive Baptist Church of Putnam County. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Lambermont of Greencastle; four sons, John Pilant of Jasonville, Wayne Pilant of Lewis, David Pilant of Coalmont and Raymond Pilant of Greencastle; one sister, Doris Ray of Lena; 13 grandchildren, 33 greatgrandchildren and seven greatgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B.

Dorothy A. Robinson MARTINSVILLE Dorothy A. Robinson, 92, of Martinsville, died Thursday at Heritage House Convalescent Center. Born Dec. 24, 1899, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of Luther Alex and Alice (Long) Burpo.
She was a waitress at several of the sanitariums in Martinsville. She was a charter member of Rescue Mission of Martinsville and member of Senior Citizens Quilters Club. Survivors include one daughter, Lois L. Clodfelder of Martinsville; one grandson, Gary Clodfelder of Martinsville; one great-grand: daughter, Jodi Lopossa of Martinsville; and several greatgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev.

The Rev. Ralph H. Johnson, 90, of Tonawanda, N.Y., formerly of Bloomington, died Friday at his residence. Born April 26, 1901, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Hosser and Maggie (Helms) Johnson. He was a retired minister of the Aposwotolic Church of Jesus Christ in Bloomington.
He was Union a member 1664 of of Carpenters Bloomington and a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. Survivors include one brother, Hoy Johnson of Bloomington; one sister, Ruby Hancock of Bloomington; one grandchild and two greatgrandchildren; a close friend of 65 years and caretaker, Pansy Carrell of Tonawanda, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Long) Johnson, in 1988; one son, Lester Johnson; and one sister, Hazel Roark. Secunties investor Protection Corporation Sunday Laura Lane and Dann Denny, both staff writers for The HeraldTimes and the Sunday HeraldTimes, took top honors Saturday in the Women's Press Club of Indiana communications contest. Lane and defending champion Denny posted identical point totals to tie for the club's Honeycomb Award, winning honors in multiple categories. Eight other H-T staff members also earned accolades a at the annual luncheon Saturday in Muncie as H-T accumulated 35 awards, the most of any news organization in the contest. Denny had received the Honeycomb Award four out of the five previous years. Saturday he won seven awards: first and third place for feature stories in newspapers of less than 50,000 circulation, and firsts in personality profile and general columns.
He garnered a second for a feature story in a general or specialized publication, and honorable mentions in science or health articles and social issues. Lane won eight awards: first places in news reporting in papers of less than 50,000 circulation, special articles on agriculture or agribusiness, and special articles on government or politics. She had seconds for a feature story, a business article, an education article and a social issues article, and honorable mention for continuing coverage or unfolding news. Jackie Sheckler, another H-T staff writer, also won seven honors: a first in environmental articles; a second in special series; thirds in science or health articles, historical articles, news reporting and continuing coverage or unfolding news; and honorable mention in governmental or political reporting. Former HT reporter Gena Asher earned five awards: firsts in business articles, food articles and historical articles; second in fashion articles; and third in home articles.

Eliza McCart, 16, a junior at Orleans High lerton Pike about 3 a.m. The driver did not pull over and instead fled onto Ind. 37, then turned east on Dillman Road until reaching Old Ind. 37, Lutz said. The chase continued across Ketchum and Fluckmill Roads and finally ended in the 7600 block of Victor Pike.
By this time several other county deputies and state police officers had joined the chase. Lutz said he arrested the boy on charges of resisting law enforcement, reckless driving, illegal consumption and several charges of driving left of center. Lutz said he turned the boy over to the Monroe County Probation Department, which later released him to the custody of his parents. The boy's name was not released because of his age. The boy's 21-year-old passenger, who Lutz said slept through the entire ride, was booked into Monroe County Jail on a charge of public intoxication.
