As a token of appreciation for Veteran's military service, the Pearl River Woodcarvers Guild offers patriotically themed canes for all Mississippi Disabled veterans from any period of service. The canes have a painted carved eagle head seated on a shaft turned by the Magnolia Wood Turners Club. The shafts are subsequently carved and painted with a magnolia and the recipient's name, term of service and other information is burned on one side. Additionally, the club inlays a medallion of the recipient's branch of service on the shaft. For Purple Heart recipients, a special medallion is inlaid on their cane.
