  • Guild members will be demonstrating woodcarving and wood burning techniques hourly during the show
  • Booths will have carvings for sale
  • Woodcarving suppliers will be present with tools, wood, instruction books, videos and other items to get you started carving
  • Bring family and friends with you to enjoy the show, the demonstrations and sale of carvings
  • Come on Friday before the show and take a class
  • Vote for the carving you think is best in the People's Choice Award


Classes are $35 for nonmembers and $25 for members. Classes start at 1:00pm on Friday. All enrollments include the blank(s) for the class. Bring your own tools (if you have them), thumb protector and carving glove. Class sizes limited.

Beginning Carving with George Berry
Learn from a man who has taught students from all around the country!

Caricature Carving with Joe Hunt
Learn the techniques of putting character into your carvings.

Power Carving with Rev. James Buie
Learn how to use the rotary (Dremel) tool to speed carving and work around arthritis.


Classes: Novice, Intermediate and Open
Categories: Birds such as waterfowl, songbirds, birds of prey; animals (game and domestic); relief/chip carving; fish/aquatic/reptile; stylized; caricature; human figures; wood spirits; miniatures; miscellaneous; walking sticks and bowls (carved).
Awards: Ribbons will be awarded for first, second, and third place winners in each category per class. Cash prizes will be awarded for first ($75), second ($50), and third ($25) place winners in each class.
Best of Show: $100, People's Choice: $100
